Description
The Mission Op Shop was a little hectic when I visited, with staff and donations in abundance, there is potential for this opportunity shop to be quite lovely once it settles into its groove. The front of the store is brimming with men’s and women’s clothing whilst out the back you will find books, CDs, games, records, shoes, accessories and sporting equipment – there was even a set of retro golf clubs! The slightly disorderly stock makes for good rummaging and there are plenty of staff around to assist with any queries you might have. The Mission is currently recruiting volunteers, offering training and a supportive work environment for people overcoming mental illness. Donations are welcome and all proceeds from the store go towards supporting The Mission.

Description
Get in quick to take advantage of the relocation sale currently taking place at Le Contraste. The owners of this beautifully presented vintage store on Chapel Street also run 20th Century Scandinavia on Lygon Street in Brunswick. They are in the process of consolidating the two stores and you can reap the benefits. The collection consists predominantly of furniture and homewares of the Scandinavian variety.

Description
Shag is a veteran vintage purveyor and time has by no means diminished its vitality. This gem of a vintage store can be found on the corner of Rose Brunswick Streets in Fitzroy. The collection is mostly dedicated to women’s apparel and accessories: shirts, dresses, fur jackets, trousers, skirts, shoes, bags, jewellery, scarfs, hats and much more. Shag’s stock is lovingly displayed and organised with just the right amount of chaos.

Description
As you walk into 20th Century Scandinavia you can smell the furniture polish… and as you move further into the store you will see staff rubbing that furniture polish onto one of that many superlative pieces of furniture housed in this den of wonders. There are tables, armchairs, lamps, desks, buffets (even some with those magical disappearing doors), sideboards, hat stands and cabinets all hailing from a bygone Scandinavia. Out the back you will find loads of chairs, tables, chests of drawer and a vintage pinball machine.

Rewind – The Old, The Odd & The New is a cacophony of colours and textures. The beautiful selection is sourced from around the world – leather boots from Italy, elegant French delights and reworked Japanese items line the walls of this fabulous little vintage store on Lygon Street. Every piece in store has been washed, dry cleaned, repaired and restored. The age of stock varies with most items having been created between the years of 1940 -1980.
