Description
Rewind – The Old, The Odd & The New is a cacophony of colours and textures. The beautiful selection is sourced from around the world – leather boots from Italy, elegant French delights and reworked Japanese items line the walls of this fabulous little vintage store on Lygon Street. Every piece in store has been washed, dry cleaned, repaired and restored. The age of stock varies with most items having been created between the years of 1940 -1980.

In the market for some vintage light fittings? You should take a trip to North Melbourne and visit Ace Antiques and Collectables. This secondhand store is teeming with lights, radios, phones, books, records, fans, clocks, enamel signs, crockery, cookware and many other rare and curious colelctables. The friendly owner Dave is a wealth of knowledge and is more than happy to answer questions. He has the largest collection of Bakelite radios in Australia, and if you can’t find one you like in store Dave will help you source one from elsewhere. Unlike many antique stores Ace Antiques are happy to hire out their wares for commercial, movies, theatres sets, it you would like to know more pop in and have a chat with Dave.

Hello pretty vintage dresses! If the wonderfully vibrant fabrics of Shappere’s shirts, skirts and dresses aren’t enough to lure you inside this smallish vintage store then perhaps the divine collection of leather jackets and shoes will do the trick. The Smith Street store opened its doors in 2008 and is one of two Shappere stores currently operating in Melbourne (the other is located on Chapel Street). Beyond the enchanting window display you will find a collection of both mens and womens-wear, including shirts, skirts, dresses, jackets, vests, shoes, bags, hats, belts, sunglasses and jewellery.
