Description
This vintage store houses a bounty of treasures - typewriters, clocks, vases, lamps, phones (some in the shape of lips – oh yeah), radios, mirror balls, musical instruments, suitcases, books… oh and did I mention it’s also a barbers? It’s an odd combination but it seems to work – the barber attends to his customer while I gleefully browse through the stock undisturbed but able to ask questions if need be.
The Verdict
Yes it may be tiny and a little bit strange but JR Hair Design is absolutely worth a visit. The collection is limited but carefully selected and generally in good condition. Of particular note are the typewriters and telephones. If you’re on Smith St, pop in, check it out – it’ll only take a few minutes of your time and who knows what you might find!
