Being one of the first vintage stores on Smith Street, Sally’s Retro Fashion could be considered a pioneer.  This pre-loved store opened its doors some 15 years ago, and has played witness to the transformation of Smith over the past decade and a half.  The displays in this store could do with some attention, especially when compared to other secondhand traders in the area.  Having said this, the collection itself is solid – gloves, hats, ties, suspenders, bags, belts, jackets, shirts, jumpers, pants, skirts, jewellery, shoes and even bras can all be found at Sally’s Retro Fashion.

The staff in this store are super friendly, which is in keeping with the totally unpretentious nature of Sally’s Retro Fashion.  Thanks to Janet and Molly for taking the time to chat with me.  It may not be as fabulous as some of its neighbours but there is certainly heaps of great stock to be found here, the men’s collection of hats is particularly noteworthy.  Pop in next time you’re in the area.
