On 31, Jul 2013 | No Comments | In Events, Retro-fabulous, Thornbury | By Rosie

Anyone keen for some high tea and Jazz?  Well you are in luck my friends!

The lovely people at the iconic Thornbury Theatre are hosting a 1920’s Vintage Jazz High Tea on the 18th of August and we have two tickets to give away.  To be in the running to win just like the Vintage Melbourne Facebook page and send your email address to  The winner will be drawn on the 12th of August so get in quick to ensure you don’t miss out!

The winner will be treated to ribbon sandwiches, homemade scones and  other delicious treats, all of which will be washed down with freshly brewed tea and coffee. The Thornbury Theatre bar will also be open throughout the event for those that require something stronger before hitting the dancefloor.  The crew from 1929 Studios will be on hand to provide demonstrations and teach you some sweet moves from the Roaring 20’s.  1929 Studios will also be giving away 4 week passes to their swing dance classes where you will be able to hone your skills.

Live music will be provided by the likes of Vin Rouge, a Melbourne Jazz quartet made up of Andrew Harrision (keyboard), Martin Zakharov (saxophone), Roby Corelli (drums) and Steve Temple (double bass) – to learn more about the band check out the Thornbury Theatre Website .

Roaring 20’s attire is encouraged but not essential.
